I use PSPad as the default reader/editor for text files of all kinds. Of late, I’ve been using it for working with ColdFusionMX files as well. It works very nicely!
However, the syntax definition file for ColdFusionMX available on the PSPad site was missing some tags and functions. I’ve updated the syntax definitions and attached the file here.
I had never heard of PSPad and am intalling it to try it out. I have been using Textpad a lot. Oh, and I tried to dl your syntax file, but your download link does not seem to be working!
Hi Ken.
My apologies for the missing sytanx file. I checked the server and the file is present. But I think the way the webserver is configured, it is not allowing .ini files to be downloaded. So I’ve zipped it up and attached it with this blog entry again.
Thanks for pointing this out.
PS Pad is just great. I don’t know of anyone who hasn’t taken a liking to it 🙂 Also, it has inbuilt, lightweight FTP that makes it great to use with remote servers.

Thanks so much for this! Very helpful, being a big fan of pspad myself.
erm – I’ve unpacked this file into the syntax folder, but my copy of PSPad (version 4.5.2) still doesn’t offer "CFMX" or "Coldfusion" in the syntax highlighter list. Anything I can do? Or do I misunderstand something?
Thanks. This is awesome. I’ve been using PSPad for a while now and I love it. Now I don’t have to highlight my ColdFusion code as HTML.
